This album represents my youth. It may seem very different from the majority of the selections in my band camp library but it still holds a place inside me representing the raw power and angst I felt in my younger days. This album in particular helped nspire my own journey into music and played a role in defining how I relate to music today. Chachi Arcola

'A World Lit Only By Fire' is an angry and gloomy motherfucker. From the start, you're being battered with pummeling, gritty low end, piercing dissonance and industrial cold. It paints a dystopian picture in my mind - of bulldozers slowly crawling through a wasteland and people hiding in sheer panic, hungry and desperate for a glimpse of hope. But in 'A World Lit Only By Fire', there is no such thing. Simon Sludge

Brotherhood is too often seen as an asterisk in the historical recounting of their members' other projects. But these guys stand on their own. They were smart and pushed the sound creatively, the wway bands like SS Decontrol or Chain of Strength did. pjkinzer
