you're twenty-three and dead
that promise made will be kept
our word is stern
step up here you will learn
we'll see you soon motherfucker
we got plans for you and it ain't just that
it's the business end of a baseball bat
you ain't got away
you just made it through another day
and you ain't got a right to live
took a boy from his brothers a dad from his kid
a coward's way out
punk with a gun
took a life
now you run
you ain't got away
we ain't far behind
there was a promise made
now it's your time
bringing your hell
brought it down around yourself
revenge now mine
not a question of if
it's just time
will feel no remorse
holding bullets and pain
for you they're yours
searching far and wide
even if you're caught
we're on the inside
this is your end on a promise
we made to a friend
but maybe you should live
and feel the pain that you gave
the pain that I'll give
Post-punk meets a very classic alt-rock sound on the new record from this Chicago group. RIYL The Breeders, Dinosaur Jr, and Yo La Tengo. Bandcamp New & Notable May 4, 2024
never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu
